My take on Rick and Chelsea’s story: Rick came back more emotionally available, but his pain was still too great. Chelsea said Rick was pain and she was hope and eventually one of them would win. Rick’s pain was so great that it destroyed any hope he had for the future (a potential future with Chelsea, a potential relationship with his father, etc). Definitely a tragic, ill-fated romance. #StayGoldChelsea
Re: The blender - I saw someone say something about this showing how habitual their wealth is. Tim is so used to other people cleaning up after him, it doesn't occur to him to rinse out the blender and he just leaves it. Lochy is so sheltered // taken care of, that he is just ignorant. He literally doesn't know how to take care of himself // doesn't have the wherewithal to understand to clean the blender - meh, must be fine... I thought this was an interesting observation and from this POV it makes the blender less of a logic 'plot hole' than some other moments - like the wire transfer. Thoughts?
If White Lotus seasons are representative of the seven deadly sins (season 1- greed. Season 2- lust) what is this seasons? I’m thinking Pride or Envy but would love to hear thoughts.
Can’t we just suspend our disbelief? The show is called the White Lotus. No it does not make sense at a chain hotel can have all these murderers, but let’s just go with it.
Also, maybe I’m the only one thinking this, but the Chloe monologue did not have the same weight as Sam Rockwell’s. A wild monologue does not earn an Emmy nom, it was Sam Rockwell’s acting paired with Rick’s response that really made that scene and Chloe’s with Saxon’s response just didn’t hit the same
Ehhh there were so many more layers to Rick than just an asshole. Like I thought he was an asshole but in the moments when he could have been you could tell there was so much pain/confusion/a little bit of fear in his actions. But agree re the love story, he wasn’t as sold on that but he wanted to be.
Also totally agree, Rick and Saxton are both totally gooned over online and it's like did you even watch the show? Are people okay? Something this show stays doing is proving a lot of points via online respone!
Re: no one acknowledging the shooting - is it possible Mike is trying to say something about regardless of the bonds creates on vacation people really only care about themselves? I just feel like having everyone not react was definitely intentional and it gave "selfish guest doesn't care about what else is going on" in a kind of classic White Lotus way
I also agree with Evan about Rick & Chelsea. I think Rick’s entire storyline was messy logisitically, not believable, and felt more like a Riverdale arc. This storyline was a huge miss for me.

Who is the ‘winner’ this season? I get the feeling there is no clear one but would love to hear others thoughts

Agreed - it's not like it was bad, it just didn't hit the same

Do we think Fabian caught any of the shooting on his phone before falling into the water?
Also wanna see the pics of Kate on Jacklyn's phone!

What does it mean when they say 'there there,'
If I answer this, I fear it'll become the next 'Why do they call the host, 'the host'? - ::it's a trap:: 🫣
As you like
