Season 1 & 2 have less episodes so of course this season is more of a slow burn, I love it. Also most people probably binged the show before instead of watching week by week.
I also interpreted Victoria wanting to go talk to the Monk as investigating and being able to question him in a way that proves it's a cult and to get Piper not to go.
Re slow burn...I think it's more so repetitive writing/dialogue. The first three episodes had the same scenes and the same conversations in the same configurations over and over again.
I'm enjoying the entertainment value, the familiarity of Thailand and how this season is absolutely ripping apart white people in Thailand, but I think Mike White's writing is oversold.
I had something akin to sympathy for Saxon this episode and hearing Sean’s view of the drug taking moment made me feel like maybe he did also? Anyone else?
Totally agree that all seasons of white lotus have been a slow burn AND that is what makes the pay off of the action later so good. Season 2 spent episodes slowly building more and more anxiety and paranoia until everything finally went crazy
WHERE WAS PAM?

Jaclyn has shades of s1 Sydney Sweeney - the girl that wants to get the guy her friend wants

It's interesting that Sam Rockwell has the antidote to not just Rick's problems, but most of the people's problems in the show.
Telling your boss you were going to call off but the flight was cancelled is so Evan.

Gawd Evan just absolutely PREACHING about “slow burn” does NOT equate to bad!!! 10/10 no notes!
Also, when Rick says he’s gonna need Frank the next night for some role-play, did everyone just assume he meant as an Asian girl?
So many good lines in this ep but Saxon drunkenly jumping off the boat “If you wanna get me, you gotta come and get me” should have been mentioned
The RANGE of emotions I (and Rick) had during that monologue—wow.
So we’re not gonna acknowledge the way Sean pronounces ruckus?
What now.
